The Downtown Revitalization Committee Needs your Help.

Meeting of the West Union Downtown Revitalization committee
- Plans were made to contact Verizon and Allegheny Power for
upgrades in services for the community. Petitions will be
placed in the Courthouse and Main Street businesses for citizens'
signatures. These petitions will be included with the
official requests for upgrade. This website will also make
the petition available online this week. Please include your
name, the number of persons in your household, and the number of
computers in your household. (If you have other utility
sensitive equipment, such as medical life support equipment, please
let us know about this also.)
- Plans were discussed for the Christmas Celebration in West
Union. (The lighting of Main Street, Caroling, parade, Main
Street Business Decoration Contest, etc...) Please contact a
member of the committee, attend the next meeting or email us if you
can help with the organizing.
- Main Street Beautification was discussed as well as possible
Grant monies available for this project.
- Discussion centered on attracting small businesses to West
Union, particularly artists and artisans. A Ways and Means
Committee is being formed.
