• The time of day that our site is accessed. We use this to schedule our updates and repairs for the least inconvenience to our viewers.
• What type of connection is being used. We use this to determine just how much we can put on each page. Currently, much of our traffic is on dial-up connection. This means that most of our viewers have a problem with pages that load slowly. We try to keep the information light on a page, especially if there are photos, and will split heavy pages into two or more when necessary. We are not using Flash technology, due to the load time.
• The general area that our viewer is accessing the site from. Originally, we had no clue how this information was valuable. It actually may not be. One of the real kicks of running this website is to pull this up though – “Wow! We had 40 hits from London yesterday” or “Hey, look, almost as many people from California are visiting as from West Virginia.” (It’s just Fun!!)
  
  When you enter your email address for the newsletter – it automatically adds that email address to the newsletter. These email addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with 3rd parties.
