| CONTEST!! The Corporation for National and Community Services and the West Virginia Commission for National and Community Services are sponsoring
“West Virginia’s Dream: MLK Day 2008 Mail Art Project”.
They are asking us to get creative and send them ART. The art will be displayed at the MLK Day Event at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Charleston, WV on January 21, 2008. All ages and skill are invited to enter.
What is Mail Art?? Mail Art is art that uses the Postal System as a medium. Mail Art is typically exchanged in the form of illustrated letters, Rubberstamped, Decorated or illustrated envelopes, or Postcards. In this artistic medium, the MAIL actually becomes the ART!
Submitted Art should not be larger than 8.5 x 11"(standard sheet of paper)
You may use any kind of medium you wish (paint, markers, crayon, ink, pencil, etc.)
Multiple entries may be sent in the same envelope if desired.
THEME: "West Virgina Dream"
All submissions must be received by January 16, 2008 to ensure that they will be displayed!
