What: Doddridge County Starting Points is having bake sale, as a part of Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale, a national campaign that mobilizes people of all ages to help end childhood hunger in America by holding bake sales in their communities. We’ll have home baked cakes, pies, breads, cookies, and hopefully some fantastic homemade candy! Anyone wishing to contribute baked goods or candies, please call us at 873-3500. When: Saturday, September 8, 2007, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Where: West Union Lion’s Club Building
Why: Nationally, there are more than 12 million children at risk of hunger. Funds raised through Doddridge County Starting Points’ bake sale will support local organizations that work to increase participation by low-income children in summer and after-school feeding programs and to support nutrition education programs for low-income families.

Share Our Strength's Great American Bake Sale is a national campaign that mobilizes people of all ages to help end childhood hunger in America by holding bake sales in their communities. Funds raised are granted to local organizations that work to increase participation by low-income children in summer and after-school feeding programs and to support nutrition education programs for low-income families.
