Shirley J. Williams for Doddridge County Commission

Shirley is the eldest daughter of Chuck and Jackie Mosser of Mahone, WV. She lives on Cabin Run in Doddridge County with her husband, Bill. They have three children, Chrystal, Duane, and William.

Shirley worked for 18 years in the local garment industry. In 1985, she went to work for Bob Faris at the State Farm Insurance Agency in West Union. For 23 years she has served many members of the community as their local State Farm agent. She has also made many friends from her work as an Avon sales representative, as well as managing her Flea Market/store.

The years spent working and living in Doddridge County have equipped Shirley with a thorough understanding of the challenges and concerns that face our community. She has a genuine appreciation of the attributes and opportunities for improvement that our wonderful county has to offer its citizens.

Shirley currently serves as President of the Doddridge County Commission. She feels privileged to serve the citizens of this county. She has accomplished many things for the community during her term as County Commissioner. Shirley was instrumental in securing the funding needed to bring city water to the residents of the Greenwood area of the county to replace their contaminated water system. She has also worked diligently toward clean-up and beautification efforts in West Union and surrounding areas. Shirley helped to establish a Recognition Day to acknowledge efforts of outstanding citizens in the county. She has been a driving force behind numerous other initiatives that enhance the appearance of our county and improve the quality of life for the citizens. These include the provision of handicapped access to the Veteran's Memorial Wall, expanding the availability of Verizon DSL service in the county, and improvement of road conditions.

Shirley Williams cares about the Doddridge County communities she serves. Her experience, honesty, compassion, and her dedication to community service is our voice in government. Let's give her our vote.

Re-elect Shirley Williams to the County Commission so that she can continue the great job she has done!

Shirley listens to us and has been our voice in government.  Let’s be heard again!
